This role combines the technical skills to understand a complex project billing and accounting system and the ability to communicate detailed information to customers and staff. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding communication skills, an interest in teamwork and collaboration, attention to detail and desire to work in a creative professional environment.QualificationsRequirements Include:Two-year degree or higher (preferred)Three or more years of accounting experience with an engineering, consulting, or other project-based firm (preferred)Experience with BST and FileMaker Pro (preferred)Ability to independently manage time and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlinesClear and concise written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to providing the highest quality work, accuracy, and customer serviceIn This Role You Will:Own the project billing from beginning to completion for the Southeast Region.Prepare monthly draft bills for Project Manager and General Manager review; revise as neededResearch and resolve billing inquiries and issues from clients or staffEnsure clients invoicing documentation requirements are complete and client has everything required to process.Track and pursue accounts receivableManage and administer new project set-up in the accounting systemMaintain project billing filesAssist project managers with project reporting and provide various reports to management as requestedWork with project managers as needed on project budget maintenanceEnsure sub consultants invoicing documents are complete and ready for processingWork with General Manager on annual budgets and forecastingAdditional activities include, but are not limited to: accounts payable, check deposits, and cash disbursement journalThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.Additional InformationWhy You Want to Work HereYou could choose to work anywhere, so why work at Coffman Engineers?
