We are seeking a Jr Staff Accountant (hybrid). This position is responsible for reconciling andanalyzingfinancialinformation,preparingaccurateandtimelyfinancialreportsandstatementsandensuringappropriateaccountingcontrolprocedures.Providesbusinessunitsupportforcentralizedreportingprocesses,includingbut not limitedto,compilingandanalyzingfinancialinformationtopreparefinancialstatements;ensuringfinancialrecordsaremaintainedincompliancewithacceptedpoliciesandprocedures;preparingfinancialmanagementreports;ensuringaccurateandtimelymonthly,quarterlyandyearendclose;implementingandmaintainingaccountingcontrolprocedures;identifyinganyaccountingdiscrepanciesandirregularities;and maintaining thefinancialdatabase.Responsibilities: Maintains financial records in accordance with GAAP and the NCUA accounting requirements.Assists with the month-end closing processes, including all accrualAssists with maintaining investment portfolio accounting records.Reconciles general ledger and bank accounts asBalances general ledger and reporting system totals to source documents. Ensures the integrity of reporting system balances.Assists with the preparation of the Credit Union financials and the annual Prepares and present data to management as requested.Researches, tracks and resolves accounting issues andCompletes special projects asMaintains and updates job knowledge by participating in related training, reading professional publications, maintaining a professional network and participating in professionalPromotes and establishes strong, positive and productive working relationships within the organization through commitment to the company's purpose, mission and core values. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.1-3 years of financial services experience in a bank or Credit Union with thorough knowledge of financial accounting regulations, principles, andComputer proficiency with MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Internet, and Email with advanced proficiency in Excel.
