What We Need
We're seeking a Photographer - Tactical Lead to join our marketing
creative department as part of the photography studio team. In this
role, you'll be a part of the daily operations of our photography
studio projects and tasks, including product, room scenes and
lifestyle photography, while supporting the studio to help meet
deadlines and maintain brand standards.
What You'll Do
Support operational production of daily and high-priority projects
producing color-accurate, color consistent, retouched product and
lifestyle imagery across Mohawk's family of brands
Lead tactical measures on creative projects such as product, room
scene and lifestyle photography, as well as collages, social
animations and digital scanning in collaboration with the
photography team
Image retouching with a relentless focus on lighting and shadows,
digital layering and masking, editing, color correction, and
optimizing assets for marketing samples, creative campaigns and
other advertising content
Ensure product launch and digital deliverables produced meet Mohawk
creative team's image and brand standards
Maintain an understanding of digital photography and remain on top
of industry trends, new developments, lighting and new technical
innovations to continue education, grow skills and enhance the
success of the department
Ensure photography asset standards are met, including metadata
requirements as well as editing standards and project workflow
Prepare proofs with Senior Photographers for approval by Senior
Manager of Photo/Video Studios as well as marketing partners
What You Have
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum three to five years of experience working in fast-paced
studio environment, and at least five years of experience as a
professional product photographer
Expert knowledge in color correction, image resolution, advanced
photography skills and the ability to adjust to current and
changing workflow procedures
Advanced skills in post-production editing: developing expertise
with software to enhance images, for example, by changing emphasis,
cropping pictures, correcting minor faults or moving objects
Ability to work in a production oriented, fast paced environment
with multiple in-house clients, with a strong focus, results-driven
attitude and a sense of urgency
Advanced knowledge of DSLRs, lenses, studio lighting, equipment and
image software
Proficiency in Photoshop, Capture One, Lightroom, Microsoft Suite,
Adobe Acrobat and other photography software, required; Adobe
Premiere and video experience, a plus
What You're Good At
Exercising strong communication, project management and
problem-solving skills
Managing multiple creative assignments across different clients,
brands and categories
Leading and encouraging new ideas to provide superior imagery for
our in-house clients
Displaying a high level of professionalism in conduct, attitude and
attire appropriate for the work area
Identifying and resolving challenges in the workflow while offering
support to photography staff and Senior Manager of Photo/Video
Studios
Thoroughly understanding creative briefs and digital asset
libraries
