Commercial HVAC Service Supervisor The Commercial HVAC Service
Supervisor is responsible for leading field operations, supporting
technicians, and ensuring high quality service delivery across an
assigned territory. This role blends technical oversight, team
leadership, customer communication, and operational coordination to
maintain strong performance and drive continuous improvement. Key
ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team Management Provide daily
leadership and guidance to field technicians in the assigned
region. Supervise staff performance, including coaching, corrective
actions, and policy compliance. Participate in interviewing,
hiring, and onboarding new team members. Train technicians on
updated procedures, technologies, and safety requirements. Support
new employees through ongoing development and mentorship.
Operational Oversight Manage technical issues, labor allocation,
and workflow planning. Conduct site visits to ensure quality
standards and operational efficiency. Ensure all technicians
maintain required safety training, PPE, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee fleet and equipment maintenance, including inspections and
inventory. Coordinate with dispatch and CSR teams on scheduling and
call assignments. Order and schedule delivery of equipment and
materials for projects. Customer and Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary communication link between field operations
and office leadership. Address customer concerns promptly and
professionally. Collaborate with sales teams on new opportunities
and ongoing customer relationships. Communicate staffing needs,
operational updates, and field issues to management. Performance
and Reporting Monitor and report on team performance, productivity,
and service quality. Ensure timely and accurate data collection and
quality checks. Maintain project timelines and budgets to ensure
successful execution. Submit incident, accident, and safety reports
according to company protocols. Required Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities Proven leadership experience in field operations or
service environments. Strong communication skills with the ability
to lead and motivate teams. Basic understanding of financial
concepts such as margins and job costing. Basic knowledge of HVAC
controls and awareness of personal technical limitations.
Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, and
Excel. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and
adapt to shifting priorities. Excellent customer service and
problem solving abilities. Strong understanding of contract terms
and pricing. Availability for after hours and weekend support as
required. Ability to work effectively in both field and office
settings for extended periods. Education and Experience High school
diploma required; bachelors degree or project management
certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory
experience in a technical, field service, or HVAC related
