Position SummaryThe Test & Validation Engineer will join the electrical engineering team to test, validate, and document novel, reliable, and high quality designs for Trenton System's next-generation products, including rackmount, embedded, edge, and other computing devices. Typical duties include test plan creation and execution, capturing/organizing/logging thorough test data, and consulting sales engineering on proposed solutions.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and test methodologies to validate products using 3rd party hardware, lab test equipment, and mainstream operating systems during the development cycle
• Create test procedures in accordance with new or existing test methods for product validation efforts
• Support the Engineering Manager in any special projects associated with the engineering lab or with tasks associated with product test validation efforts
• Support Trenton's manufacturing facility as required, providing support on technical issues
• Provide assistance with customer support issues as needed
• Attempt to identify improvements in efficiency in processes and improvements in products and services and provide input to continuous improvement team
• Identify and manage risk in products, processes, and environment
  
  Requirements:
  Required
  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent, including experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in engineering test capacity
  • Knowledge of computer hardware & software architecture.
  • Ability to write technical procedures and documentation.
  • Familiarity with various types of test lab instrumentation used in test validation efforts, including temperature chamber operations for product temperature testing
  • Experience with operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, etc) and various other software.Desired

    • Ability to read schematics.
