to the best of my knowledge. Job Description As the Manufacturing
Implementation Engineer, you will support the Albumin and
Fractionation departments in Covington, GA. You will utilize
engineering and project management skills to align processes and
teams to resolve complex manufacturing problems, in addition to
defining and developing a successful roadmap and prioritization for
projects and initiatives executed from conception to
implementation. You will focus on accelerating the timeline to
achieve full production rate by accelerating improvement changes.
You will report to the Manager, Manufacturing. About the role: How
you will contribute:
- Establish, prioritize, and implement roadmap for manufacturing
process improvements (CAPA's, projects, initiatives, etc.) from
conception to implementation.
- Ensure alignment and prioritization for optimizations within
Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Process Control System
(PCS) along with other support teams.
- Reduce manufacturing challenges through ownership of
departmental issue and delay logs and the resulting improvement
initiatives
- Discuss complex technical and project management issues, both
verbally and in written form
- Support ramp-up and steady-state operations of two
highly-automated pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
- Lead teams, influence, and work as a collaborative team
member
- Scope of support will include: Plasma Fractionation and Albumin
Purification processes, Manufacture Execution System (Siemens
Simatic IT). Distributed Control System (DeltaV) and Process Logic
Controllers. Process equipment (vessels, centrifuges, filter
presses, UF/DF, robotics, COP washers, CIP skids). Automation
hardware. In Process Testing lab (pH, conductivity, titration). and
Safety and quality investigations
- Continuously improve manufacturing operations by: Reduce
manufacturing events, user interventions, and batch record alerts.
Identify opportunities and deliver projects to reduce cycle time,
error proof operations, and eliminate waste, Performing operational
assessments to ensure proper processes, procedures, tools, and
training are in place. and Develop Manufacturing Unit (MU)
initiatives and leading Continuous Improvement efforts
- Actively support information sharing and learning between team
members by: Lead Knowledge Transfer training with manufacturing and
engineering staff and coaching manufacturing staff while partnering
with them to resolve technical issues
- Develop troubleshooting guides for common problems
- Sharing process knowledge with colleagues across-shift What you
bring to Takeda:
- B.S. degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
(Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- 2+ years' of related work experience, preferably within a GMP
environment
- > 1 years' experience in a technical role in a biotech/
pharma company.
- Ability to solve complex engineering problems
- Training and demonstration of concepts of Lean Manufacturing
and Six Sigma quality techniques is preferred
- Able to work a flex schedule and take call to support
manufacturing operations and project needs
- Able to work in a clean room environment
- Able to wear personal protective equipment (such as hard hats,
safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs) because of safety
requirements in specific areas

we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role,
you may:
- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and
wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail
polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing
environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work
supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and
