Job Description:

We are expanding and looking to add an EHS Engineer to our team! This is a salaried positionPay is based on experience and education. $70,000-$100,000/yearSummaryManage Environmental, Health, and Safety programs within Dahlonega Plant to meet corporate and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with State and Federal environmental and safety regulations and promote excellence as defined by JTEKT standards. Monitor key safety, waste stream, and energy metrics. Implement corrective and preventative actions to promote and affect continuous improvement. Identify and work with Dahlonega team to resolve identified environmental and safety deficiencies and opportunities.Responsibilities

• Administer Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety programs
• Develop and Manage EHS Steering Committee
• Schedules and tracks all Safety Training
• Conducts routine safety and environmental inspections
• Acquire EHS Training and Certifications necessary to progress in job capabilities / responsibilities
• Conduct Corporate New Equipment Safety and Commissioning Process in conjunction with the Engineering Manager.
• Provide Engineering support for plant Safety systems (Fire Protection, Electrical Safety, Machine Safety Devices, Mist Collection and Air Ventilation Systems)
• Coordinate and manage first responders and safety supplies
• Coordinate Ergonomic Analysis and Improvement Program
• Coordinate Industrial Hygiene Program (including indoor ventilation and air quality testing, mist collection, etc.)
• Coordinate annual hearing tests and training
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations & laws (OSHA, Federal, State & Local Laws)
• Coordinate all safety reporting requirements.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or in a related field preferred or equivalent experience in a production environment.
  • 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred
  • Train the Trainer experience preferred
  • ASP or CSP certificate preferred.
  • ISO 14001:2015 EM certificate preferred
  • ISO Team Lead Auditor certificate preferredYou should be proficient in:
