JOIN OUR EXCELLENT TEAM OF EXPERIENCED MECHANICS! \n \n We are on the hunt for an experienced Mechanic! \n\nThe Mechanic is responsible for repairs and the maintenance of Class-8 diesel powered tractors and tank trailers, both internal and external customers, as well as ensuring the road worthiness of company equipment.\n\n \n\nWe operate late model tractors and trailers! \nUp to $30/hour based on experience\nThe ideal candidate will have: \n- Maintenance background in the trucking industry \n- Experience with Kenworth tractors \n- Experience with Cummins engines \n\n\nResponsibilities: \n\n Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers while utilizing personal safety equipment as required\nMove trucks and trailers in and out of shop for maintenance\nOpen repair orders and charge the appropriate parts to the repair order\nPerform tire inspections/appropriate paperwork to company standards\nPerform shop clean-up and housekeeping responsibilities as well as other miscellaneous related duties as assigned\nInspects and maintains basic vehicle/accessorial worthiness including proper fuel levels and tire air pressure, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment and submits reports indicating condition of equipment\nComprehend and perform Driver Vehicle Inspection Repair (DVIR) process\nInstall, diagnose and repair People Net\nPerform trailer preps\nTrailer and hose inspections per HM-183 standards\nPerform work on frame rail and sub frame\nPossesses and demonstrates the ability to perform assigned tasks in a manner that adheres to the companies Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies\n \n \n \nDiagnose and repair:\n Tire/wheel\nBrakes & Air Systems\nClutch, Linkage and Transmission\nMud flaps/hangers\nAir intake system\nStart, charging and electrical systems\nLanding gear and attachments\nIn transit heat systems\nCoolant Systems\nHVAC System\nFuel System\nExhaust Systems\nElectrical Systems\nSteering and Suspension\n\n \n\n\nRequirements\n \n ASE certification not required but recommended Computer experience a plus\n Must provide own hand tools\n \n
