We are seeking a Advanced Project Engineer / Project Specialist III to join our Flat Sheet Manufacturing projects team. This market includes pulp & paper, aluminum, rubber, plastic films, and OEMs making products where a continuous sheet is produced. The team delivers projects for both Quality Control Systems (QCS), and Continuous Web Solutions (CWS) product lines as applicable. The QCS/CWS are proprietary solutions used to measure and control quality parameters on all variation of paper machines in support of Honeywell's overall control portfolio for pulp and paper customers. This solution employs the latest technology for control of both machine direction (MD) and cross direction paper quality using a complex multivariable based control. The Honeywell Project Specialist/Engineer is a specialized position which takes several years to develop the skills required to plan, build, test, install and commission. This position requires domain knowledge of both the proprietary control solution and field process experience to effectively deliver to the Honeywell customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
---Development of project engineering plan, schedule, and functional/system description in accordance with prescribed project methodology
---Perform system installation, startup and commissioning, including control tuning, process optimization, and make changes/modifications to Application SW and Process Displays
---Development and management of a punch list to completion
---Development of scope of work for estimating purposes
---Disseminate Best Practices and Lessons Learned within group and outside of group as applicable
---Provide mentorship for junior personnel in both projects and service
---Provide onsite customer operator training
---Support factory check-out and customer factory acceptance tests
---Investigate and resolve system technical and application issues
---Assist in preparation system installation documentation and manuals
---Effectively manage a project team consisting of multiple disciplines to meet project financial matrices while meeting customer expectations for deliverables
---Effectively communicate project status and issues within the project team and to the customer both in written and verbal correspondence
---Follow required project methodology for all projects
---Understand project scope and support change management processes
---Initiative to complete assignments on time and with accuracy
---Travel requirement 60-75%
YOU MUST HAVE:
---BS in Engineering, similar technical degree, or 5 years of related field electronics experience (including military electronics experience)
---Minimum of 5 years' experience with sheet manufacturing machine processes along with machine direction and cross directions controls, specifically project/service experiences on QCS/CWS systems: Experion MX, DaVinci, MXProline.

---DaVinci/Experion MX Training including RAE and Labview.
---Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
---Extensive knowledge on some of the key technical areas: CD/MD Controls, Labview, HMI Web, Scanners & sensors.
