the strategic planning and organizing accessory product lines from
conceptual stage through product life cycle to optimize profit, as
well as meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.
Major Functions and Scope:
- Develops both short and long-term strategic product plans for
accessories lines for wood flooring and laminate product and
implement actions to achieve desired results.
- Develops and implements pricing and profit margin initiatives
to achieve annual financial objectives.
- Develop and execute a sourcing strategy for accessories
products - Moldings, Adhesives, Cleaners, etc. This includes
development of source suppliers. Development steps to include
vendor selection, price negotiation, relationship management and
supplier performance evaluations.
- Working with Unilin quality team, establish quality management
standards and product specifications. Also establish quality and
color management program and product inspection procedures that
ensure all product meets required quality standards.
- Establishes and enforces product differentiation standards
among multiple brands/customers.
- Develop and manage new products launches through the Unilin
StageGate Product Development Process.
- Support the launch of new wood and laminate flooring products
with the development of new accessories products as needed. This is
also to be completed through the StageGate process.
- Project manage the development and launch of all new
accessories, products and possible, as needed, participate in the
development of wood flooring products.
- Manage and resolve, with quality team and suppliers, all
accessories related quality or product issues.
- Develops and manages an inventory management program for
accessories that will control working capital expense. Key
objectives to operate with the "optimal" number of skus and
eliminate discontinued or redundant products.
- Develops relationships with key customers to determine product
needs while maximizing company financial goals.
- Monitors competitors to ensure Unilin products are competitive
in look, price and quality.
- Ensures product plans are executed by all stakeholders,
achieving target introduction dates and financial goals.
- Develops and delivers product presentations and sales tools to
internal and external customers.
- Visits regional markets to stay abreast of product issues and

and Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or business required.
Knowledge of wood flooring products preferred. Multi-brand
development experience preferred. Experience in product development
using a StageGate like process preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of
progressive product management responsibility. Experience (or a
sound understanding) in manufacturing and sales. Competencies:
Ability to influence and foster teamwork at all levels of the
organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills. Must be able to prioritize and
delegate. Must have strong/proven leadership and organizational
skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Strong
computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Mohawk Industries
