The Organizational Development Director owns and leads talent programs from conceptualization to execution. The roles will work cross-functionally and collaboratively with all areas of the business to create the initiatives that enhance the employee experience by creating an inclusive culture where we UNDERSTAND, ENGAGE and DEVELOP our talent resulting in our ability to attract, develop, and retain the best people at all levels of the organization. This position will be key in helping us build a cohesive culture that is rooted in our organizational values and aligned with our vision, mission, and strategies. Self-starter/Driven Passionate about helping and empowering people Servant-leader What You'll Do: Attract Talent: -- - - Revise our recruiting and on-boarding strategies to attract, hire, and retain the right talent for all areas of the business. Engagement: -- - - Develop and lead programs to support high engagement and low turnover Development and Inclusion: -- - - Create and implement innovative training and inclusion programs to enhance employee morale and growth. -- - - Manage succession planning and employee development program help identify skills gaps, career paths and succession planning needs. Develop Diversity program Create opportunities within the community to build the Price Brand. Recruitment: Develop hourly recruiting strategy to eliminate our reliance on temps and external staffing sources. o Develop community outreach programs that will increase our visibility and presence within the community to increase the candidate pool. o Work with local agencies to understand the labor market, tax credits etc that we could be utilizing to attract talent and maintain wages/labor costs o Attend local events to attract talent o Conduct regular meetings with new hires for their first XX days with Price to check job satisfaction. o Conduct annual wage survey (hourly) for the local community to ensure we are in line with our local competitors. (Chamber of commerce has this info) On-boarding: o Revise new hire orientations to make it an experience not just paperwork. Engagement: Be responsible for employee engagement & experience o Employee surveys -- - - Conduct surveys -- - - Lead follow up/actions items -- - - Communicate results and action plans o Hold Employee feedback meetings to help determine needs of the workforce. -- - - Ensure local teams are following up in suggestions and completing action plans for each. -- - - Communicate back to employee groups on action items. o Plan and schedule all employee events -- - - Wellness week -- - - Health activities (wellness program) -- - - Safety commitment -- - - Attendance and service awards -- - - Holiday celebrations -- - - Retirements and other major life events -- - - Other events as requested by GMs Development and Inclusion: Create and implement innovative training and inclusion programs to enhance employee morale and employee growth. o Create and train plants on a formal training program for hourly needs ie- machine training, work instructions etc. -- - - To include easy to access and report tracking system o Create and conduct the Price University program -- - - Develop training program for hi-potential hourly employees to develop into higher roles. (trainers, leads, supervisors) -- - - Develop apprenticeship program for skilled labor (maintenance, T&D etc) -- - - Work with local trade colleges on this program. o Schedule and promote ESL classes as needed. o Manage succession planning and employee development program -- - - Engineer rotation program -- - - Create program to identify skills gaps, career paths and succession planning needs. o Develop Diversity program o Create opportunities within the community to build the Price Brand.Job Requirements:Qualifications and Skills: Excellent communication and presenting skills Enjoy collaborating cross-functionally towards a common goal. Create structure Thrive in environments that require you to multitask at a fast pace. Minimum of 10 years experience in leading/creating organizational development strategy in a MANUFACTURING setting. Some travel will be required. We have three locations in the Atlanta GA area (Suwanee and Winder) and one in Casa Grande AZ.
