Job Description

Position Summary:

The North America Digital Content Manager will support Kimberly-Clark Professional's strategic business plan and "must-win" focus on eCommerce growth. The primary objectives for this role are to manage the creation, maintenance, and audit of North American Digital Content across all relevant products. To accomplish these objectives, you'll help organize content creation briefings with Product Marketers to create all product images, in-use photography, and product copy with all relevant agencies and internal design teams. You will work with all business partners to identify any content errors or updates that require corrections to existing content as well as audit existing content to identify discrepancies across product families. You will be the point of contact to investigate any content and product data issues/inconsistencies across internal systems like PIM, DAM, website, sales tools, etc. You will also manage the NA Digital Shelf team's project request tool WorkFront, assigning any requested projects to the appropriate team member, project managing all project requests to maintain expected deliverables, and problem solve any issues with project submissions. Finally, you will manage the training and any training documentation needed by internal stakeholders on the content creation process.

This role requires a strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of eCommerce best practices regarding both the creation of digital content vs traditional content as well as the distribution and management of content data. Previous experience managing creative briefs with digital product content and working with Content Management Systems and large data sets is required. The person in this role will need to be comfortable working both as part of a team and autonomously, effective with juggling various projects simultaneously, and be solution oriented in their working style.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Content Creation Briefing:

  • Serve as primary contact for NA Digital Content Creation
  • Meet with Product Marketers to verify needs for Product Renders, In-Use Photography, Copy & Legal Claims
  • Assist Project Marketers with submitting creative briefs through WorkFront and identifying the appropriate timelines needed for the project
  • Reserve and manage resource time with creative agencies and internal creative staff
  • Give creative direction where needed to agencies and internal creative staff as well proof all final creative for accuracy
  • Manage a New Product Launch/Product Update Calendar with all Product Teams

    Content Auditing & Maintenance:
    • Run regular Content Management System (CMS) reports to identify missing and/or incorrect content & data.
    • Regularly meet with Product Marketers to understand any changes to product specifications and/or packaging that requires any content & data changes
    • Audit Product Data Attributes to work with Product Marketers to correct & complete any issues/gaps.
    • Load new Content & Images onto their respective PIM & DAM systems

      WorkFront Project Management:
      • Leverage WorkFront project management tool to ensure all digital shelf requests are managed through the system and assigned a team owner
      • Monitor WorkFront reporting tools to understand what teams, types of requests, and which projects could encounter scheduling conflicts and/or delays
      • Train collaborating teams on how to submit projects via WorkFront
      • Continuously improve WorkFront to identify any automated form functionality to make briefings easier for collaborating teams
      • Content Creation Training
      • Create training documentation for the content creation process & train Product Marketers on the process where necessary.
      • Serve as the primary contact for questions about project timelines and training issues.

        Updating & Maintaining Content:
        • Serve as primary contact for eCommerce content related issues
        • Update existing product copy as needed for any relevant product changes
        • Support large content modification projects such as brand change or category update
        • Investigate content discrepancies

          Formatting & Distribution of Content:
          • Organize content and data attributes for new SKU launches
          • Validate distributor template and file format requirements
          • Re-format content as needed for uploads
          • Send content to distributors using appropriate templates
          • Manage new product set-up data requests as needed

            • Bachelor's degree in marketing, or other related field
            • 3-5 years of eCommerce and/or data management experience
            • Previous experience managing content creation with a working knowledge of eCommerce Digital Shelf and Digital Content Trends
            • Previous experience with Content Management Systems and large data sets is required
            • Experience with WorkFront project management tool preferred
            • Very strong attention to detail
            • Advanced expertise with Excel functions
            • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
            • Some knowledge of and/or basic understanding of web-based layout/design programs
            • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
            • Creative thinking, problem solving, and the ability to innovate
            • Exhibits flexibility, open-mindedness, and adaptability to a rapidly changing environment
            • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and accountability
            • Personal interest in eCommerce and marketing
            • Positive team player and strong work ethic
