Description: SUMMARYCreates a work environment resulting in a high level of employee, patient and physician satisfaction leading to achievement of financial targets.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)MANAGERIAL

  • Works with physicians and employees to ensure effective operation of both clinical and administrative site functions;
  • Meets regularly with physicians to solve problems and ensure needs are met;
  • Maintains a current call schedule, if required, and works with Answering Service to provide call schedule information;
  • Oversees and maintains proper inventory of clinical supplies
  • Manages Physician schedules and templates and works with physicians to make necessary changes;
  • Attends Physician Overview Board Meetings; Assists Regional Director on development of the aganda
  • Takes responsibility for resolving patient complaints or service issues involving upper management and corporate resources as needed;
  • Directs the Worker's Compensation Drug Program, if applicable and works closely with clinical supervisor to maintain integrity of program.
  • Ensures adequate staffing levels are maintained;
  • Sources, interviews and hires new employees;
  • Evaluates employee performance and implements merit raises, promotions, and counseling actions;
  • Coordinates employee training to ensure cross coverage in all areas of operations;
  • Models and promotes behavior resulting in a workplace where employees support each other and demonstrate mutual respect;
  • Ensures a safe and secure workplace complying with all Resurgens safety policies and OSHA regulations, i.e., annual fire drill, employee education, workspace inspections, security updates, etc;
  • Designs and implements strategies to ensure employee satisfaction resulting in appropriate staff turnover rates;
  • Conducts or ensures that quarterly one-on-one meetings are held with each employee;
  • Collaborates with ancillary managers to ensure appropriate office and clinical support of those functions.ADMINISTRATIVE
    • Reviews and approves vendor invoices for accuracy in a timely manner to accouts payable dept;
    • Oversees End of Day activities and prepares bank deposits, ensuring integrity of processes;
    • Performs monthly analysis of site profit and loss statements to identify variances and cost saving opportunities; compiles, analyzes and explains financial data and clinical indicators for presentation by to Regional Director;
    • Approves PTO and reviews missed clocks in ADP bi weekly.
    • Supervises time and attendance by reviwing and approving time cards for payroll processing bi weekly;
    • Maintains internal controls to ensure revenue cycle is followed;
    • Establishes best practices standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of clinic processes;
    • Reviews TOS reports with staff to identify opportunities for improvement;
    • Ensures physician compliance by reviwing end of day missing slips;
    • Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately within budget and according to applicable licensing and safety requirements;
    • Ensures annual business license is current
    • Attends required meetings, participates in committees and participates in professional and developmental activities;
    • Works with property manager to ensure clinic facilities and grounds are maintained appropriately.
    • Reviews and communicates survey results for employee and patient satisfaction;
    • Works with Regional Director for physician onboarding and off boardingSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervises 5 - 60+ employees in the clinic location. Number will vary depending on size of location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Resurgens's policies and all applicable laws.. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
      • Bachelor's Degree in business, practice management, healthcare administration or related field preferred. Relevant experience may be acceptable as substitute for education (1 - years of experience = 1 year of education);
      • Two Years broad supervisory experience in a physician's practice or other healthcare environment;
      • Experience in financial planning and implementing budgets;
      • Experience managing staff in a wide range of healthcare-related functions.
      • Experience solving complex patient-related problems
      • Experience working directly with physicians and other providersSKILLS
        • Demonstrated conflict management skills
        • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in all written and verbal communications, including email, with employees, patients, and providers.
        • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail
        • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
        • Demonstrated skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
        • Demonstrated skills in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
        • Ability to solve practical problems, to deal with a variety of concrete variables and to multi-task in situations within the clinic.
        • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, managers, patients, and the public.
        • Demonstrated skills working with staff to solve intra-staff conflicts and promote teamwork
        • Demonstrated conflict management skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to talk and hear. Employee may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment is typical of a physician's practice. While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to risk of infectious diseases when interacting with patients and/or family members. The employee may be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive. Schedule requires flexibility to occasionally include evenings, early mornings and weekends.
