Position Overview:
Come join the SiteOne Supply Chain team as a Divisional Inventory
Manager. This role is considered a senior management role within
our growing organization. The role of the Divisional Inventory
Manager is to lead our regional inventory management team to
deliver an exceptional customer experience at SiteOne.
Specifically, the Divisional Inventory Manager is primarily
responsible for inventory availability at our branches, inventory
productivity across SiteOne (turns), and providing top tier
customer service to the field. All of these objectives are to be
accomplished through leadership and development of a team of 4-6
Regional Inventory Managers. -In this role, you will be expected to
partner with Division Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents, and
functional leaders to understand future strategy and areas of
opportunity for your function. As areas of opportunity are
identified, you will be tasked with seeing those through to
resolution. You will also lead larger inventory optimization
projects spanning multiple departments. When it comes to strategy,
you will establish coordinated forecast and safety stock plans to
drive product in and out of market according to seasonality. You
will also be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of our
inventory strategy with measures and developing KPIs in partnership
with our BI & Analytics team.This role will also be responsible for
assessing procurement operations for acquisitions and developing a
plan for integrating their operations with existing SiteOne systems
and support teams. -Roles and Responsibilities:Align the inventory
management team with the SiteOne vision and strategyDevelop and
oversee execution of the inventory planning roadmapPartner with
field, category, replenishment, IT and systems leaders to drive
product availability and visibility upwardManage stocking
strategies across 50k+ SKUs and -300 branch locationsBe an advocate
for the field and customer as it pertains to inventory management
practicesEstablish strategies to bring inventory in and out of our
branches in accordance with seasonalityDrive consensus planning
process in partnership with field leadersUnderstand different
methods to support a highly variable demand businessEstablish a
best practice to assess the accuracy of historical forecastManage
and deliver small to x-large projects spanning across multiple
departmentsMonitor and establish plans to maintain or reduce
obsolete inventory within divisionIdentify areas of opportunity and
advocate to develop solutions to addressEstablish a formal forecast
consensus process with field leadersServe as an escalation point
for sales leadershipSurvey the needs of future integrations
(acquisitions) and design solutions to accommodate new businesses
being integratedManage team performance through existing and future
metrics
Skills We Are Seeking::
Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance and/or Technology
preferredMBA or graduate degree strongly preferred10+ years'
experience in inventory planning5+ years' in a leadership roleDeep
experience working with an ERP system such as Blue Yonder (formerly
JDA), SAP, Oracle, or similar, especially in demand planning
suiteBalance of strong analytics and business acumenStrong
executive presence and presentation experienceExperience working
with large data sets and ability to quickly draw insights with
dataAbility to articulate analytical output and insights in
layman's termsSolid understanding of replenishment and fulfillment
processes and best practicesAble to manage multiple projects and
timelinesStrong written and oral communication skillsComfortable
