North Fulton Hospital has an exceptional opportunity for a Manager,
Trauma Services Program (TPM).Full-time Day ShiftEquipped with the
latest technology and medical expertise, Wellstar North Fulton
Hospital is committed to delivering quality, personalized care,
tailored to you. Wellstar North Fulton is a Level II Emergency
Cardiac Care Center, Level II Trauma Center and Joint Commission
Primary Stroke Center. The Manager, Trauma Services Program (TPM)
is a registered nurse (RN) who is responsible, in collaboration
with Trauma Medical Director (TMD), for the coordination of
services and system elements required for the optimal care of the
trauma patient. In addition, this leader oversees operations to
ensure maintenance as a verified/designated trauma program as set
forth by the guidelines established by the American College of
Surgeons Trauma Center Verification Program or State designated
trauma program. The TPM is responsible for the integration of
processes of care across the trauma continuum; from injury through
rehabilitation to include injury prevention. Level I and II trauma
centers are considered higher level of care due to higher volumes
and a complex trauma population. Level III and IV trauma centers
transfer complex trauma patients to the higher level trauma centers
(I and II). The TPM interfaces with leaders within their hospital
from Administration, Nursing, Emergency Services, Medical Imaging,
Care Coordination, Quality, and others, to improve care and
maintain sustainability for the program. The TPM, in collaboration
with the TMD, is responsible for analysis of the Trauma Quality
Improvement Program (TQIP) data and developing and implementing
initiatives to improve benchmarks. The TPM represents the Trauma
Center in regional, state, and national trauma committees or
organizations.QualificationsRequired Minimum Education Graduate
with Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an approved school of
professional nursing (Master of Science in Nursing with a clinical
concentration in trauma, Emergency or relevant field preferred).
Required Minimum Licensure/Certification Registered Nurse in the
State of Georgia; Current ACLS, TNCC, ATCN and TCRN certification
preferred. Required Minimum Experience Minimum of three to five
years of clinical nursing in emergency, critical care and trauma
care. Minimum of three to five years progressive
management/supervisory experience. Previous experience in verified
Level I or Level II ACS verified Trauma Center or state designated
trauma program preferred. Maintains 48 trauma related continuing
education hours every 3 years (averaged 16 per year) per the ACS
standard. Required Minimum Skills: Interpersonal skills necessary
to interact productively with both internal and external personnel
at all levels of the organization, patients, families, physicians
and staff, to promote the optimal care of patients and the optimal
