Job Description:

Position Summary
The Logistics Manager is responsible to schedule all inbound/outbound shipments and strives to keep transportation costs low. Also, is responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Enforcement of established policies and procedures.
Train of logistics personnel and enforcement of DOT regulations
Tracking assurance of DOT audits
Plan shipments based on product availability and requirements
Direct, optimize and coordinate order deliveries
Keep track of quality, quantity, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency
Ensure products are delivered to sites promptly and according to standards
Schedule shifts for drivers' staff
Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing, or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications, and costs
Schedule maintenance and repairs for a fleet of vehicle
Provides motivation, support, and guidance to all employees
Solve and, if necessary, communicate any problems or obstacles to Operations VP
Maintains effective communication with all operations, support, and management departments

Ensures that the Corporate Mission and Values are followed at all time


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


2+ years of experience in logistics
2+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity
Bachelor's degree required
Excellent project management skills
Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
Bilingual (English, Spanish)
