Manager's primary responsibility is to aid the Project Manager
and/or Senior Project Manager in overseeing all facets of
commercial construction projects throughout their entire life cycle
(initiate, plan, execute, control, close).Primary
Responsibilities:Develop result-oriented work plans to achieve
project objectives.Ensure construction projects are completed on
time, within budget, and in accordance with the design
specifications.Adhere to all company, client, and project policies,
procedures, and standards.Schedule and chair project start-up
meetings.Negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders and prepare
scope of work.Prepare owner pay applications, change order
requests, and claims.Update and maintain the project
schedule.Verify and process subcontractor pay requisitions in a
timely manner.Produce monthly profitability and Work in Place
forecast reports.Ensure shop drawings, submittals, and RFI's are
processed promptly.Chair and document project staff and owner
meetings.Assemble closeout documents such as operating manuals,
shop drawings, guarantees, etc.Provide effective leadership to the
project team.Perform additional tasks or functions as directed by
the supervising manager.Qualifications:Possess a BS degree in
Construction Management or Civil Engineering or have equivalent
combinations of technical training and experience.Project Managers
should have 5 to 10 years of progressive project management
experience in the Commercial Construction industry.Assistant
Project Managers should have 3 to 5 years of progressive project
management experience in the Commercial Construction industry.Must
have experience managing fast-track mid-rise or high-rise
commercial projects and/or multifamily projects valued at over $20
million.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with at
least 4 years of experience negotiating with Owners,
subcontractors, and vendors.Proficient in MS Office, Microsoft
Project or Primavera project management software, and Viewpoint
