Responsibilities

We are looking for a flexible Licensed Practical Nurse who enjoys variety and different rewarding work every week. This is a Full-time opportunity on our float team involving assignment to various Wellstar Medical Group practices within a specified region.

The Float Pool Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Supervisor and Practice Manager. The LPN recognizes patient's needs and symptoms in advance and provides care for the patient under the physician's direction. This includes preparing patient for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and recording treatment in medical record. The LPN assists with patient and family education and demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients of all ages.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:

Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.

Required Minimum Licensure/Certification:

Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.

Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association prior to hire date.
ACLS/PALS may be required in some practice areas.

Required Minimum Experience:

Previous healthcare experience preferred. Experience in ambulatory, outpatient setting preferred.
