Job Description:
Planned Pethood of Georgia is looking for full time
veterinarians to join our highly qualified veterinary staff. We
perform high volume spay/neuter surgeries for the public, and
spay/neuter as well as additional procedures (amputations,
enucleations) for some rescue groups, local shelters, and animals
in our foster program. In addition to our Duluth spay/neuter
clinic, we have recently opened a wellness clinic in Duluth. We
also provide veterinary services on-site six days a week at
Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and one day a week at Newton County
Animal Control. We have opportunities in spay/neuter, shelter
medicine, our rescue medical department and in wellness/public
outreach. We need committed individuals to help animals in need as
well as the people who care for them. AS A NON-PROFIT WE ARE

typical schedule for surgeons is a four-day work week and one
Saturday a month at a shelter or vaccine clinic. Additional
work-days may be available as bonus pay. While previous high
volume/shelter experience would be ideal, any interested candidates
with a good attitude and willingness to learn will be given

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Surgically proficient and efficient or willing/able to be trained
to be both Ability to perform both routine and non-routine surgical
procedures (mostly related to spay/neuter) - we do pyometras, in
heat spays, early to late term spay-aborts, inguinal and abdominal
cryptorchids, amputations, enucleations and some other procedures
on an as needed basis. Most importantly, we are seeking
veterinarians who understand that we often serve a population of
clients and animals that are unable to seek services elsewhere. If
it is within our capabilities, we strive to provide what an animal
needs or work with an owner to provide options for the animal's
