Manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the appropriate division. Nurses at Northside are professionals committed to patients/families and all members of the Healthcare team. Required:

* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to designated area within probationary period.
* Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). In addition to the above, the following is preferred for departments listed below: Renal Dialysis: One (1) year experience in critical care or hemodialysis.
* Special Care Nurseries: Completion of the American Heart Association Resuscitation course.
* Family- Centered Care- Admissions Team: 2 years nursery/nicu experience or 4 years Mother/Baby experience.
* NRP mandatory. Neurosciences: Completion of Critical Care and Basic Arrhythmia course.
* ACLS certification.
* Radiology: ACLS certification must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire date.
* Two (2) years experience in medical-surgical nursing or related area with at least one (1) year experience involving the treatment of cardiac/critical care patients or previous radiology experience.
* PALS is required of Radiology Nurses working in the Alpharetta Pediatric Imaging facility and is preferred but not required for all other Radiology nurses For the Breast Care Center locations - BCLS requirement only.
* Surgical Services Operating Room: Prior Operating Room experience or completion of a course in Operating Room nursing.
* PACU: Prior PACU or ICU experience or completion of a course in Post-Anesthesia Care nursing. Current ACLS Certification required.
* Cath Lab Admission/Recovery Unit (ARU)-Forsyth Critical Care experience (preferred).
* Current ACLS (required).
* Cardiology -Forsyth Critical Care experience (preferred). Current ACLS (required).

Preferred:

* National certification in specialty area.
* Cancer Center (Radiation Oncology ACLS certification and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
