Primary worksite for this position will be Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital. The APP will work with diagnostic radiology to perform fluoroscopic procedures and perform the associated clinical work, such as consults, vetting, hospital rounding, and clinical work up.In this role the ideal APP candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.This is a Weekday position with a rotating Weekend call schedule that will be shared across the team.Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic healthcare system. This role will be based at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital.Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP).Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including lumbar puncture, myelogram, joint injections and aspiration. Gastrointestinal and genitourinary fluoroscopic directed procedures, and other specialized minor image-guided therapies.Under the direction of a physician, performs inpatient and outpatient consultations, to complete a historical intake, perform physical examinations, direct a plan of care, provide education and informed consent, or offer follow up procedural care.On Call weekend responsibilities on a rotational basis.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.Minimum of two years' of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
