Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a Certified Surgical Technologist to support a busy surgical team in Roswell, GA. This role operates under the supervision of a registered professional nurse and is designed for professionals skilled in moderate to high acuity surgical cases. The position requires a proactive surgical technologist capable of anticipating the needs of surgeons and collaborating effectively with the entire healthcare team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency. This is a contract assignment with a duration of approximately six weeks, offering experience in both hospital and outpatient surgical environments. Key Responsibilities: Prepare the operating room and surgical field, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety. Assist during surgical procedures by passing instruments and anticipating team needs. Manage surgical instruments and equipment, including troubleshooting and sterilization. Participate in surgical counts and safety time-outs to uphold procedural standards. Assist with room turnover, inventory management, and compliance with regulatory standards. Serve as a mentor or preceptor to students and staff, contributing to ongoing performance improvement. Respond to changes in patient condition and report findings to medical staff promptly. Qualifications and Experience: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (preferred) or Licensed Practical Nurse. Completion of an accredited surgical technology program. National certification in surgical technology required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Proven ability to function effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills and proficiency with basic computer applications (Word, Excel). Strong attention to detail and knowledge of surgical procedures. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Schedule: Day shift: Four 10-hour shifts (7:00 am to 5:30 pm), with flexible days. On-call responsibilities include three shifts per month. One 24-hour weekend on-call per month. Coverage on major and minor holidays.
