Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Inpatient Care Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Experience: Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (Single State or Multi-State Compact) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: Ability to read, write, and speak English Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills Ability to function in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management skills Strong critical thinking skills Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They ensure that patients and families receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders. The framework for practice is steered by a Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice. RN competencies are derived from these models and are supported by core values. All RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act. Supports shared governance at all levels in the system. Professional Development and Initiative: Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment and required education. Serves as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and staff. Models professional nursing practice and creates a healthy work environment. Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Promotes evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement. Participates in data collection and poses relevant clinical questions to advanced evidence-based practice. Resources and Support: Plans for the care of patients across the care continuum in delivering direct patient care. Participates in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes. Supports efficient and effective use of human and material resources. Performs other duties as assigned.
