Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Macon, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,894 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Macon, Georgia, 31201! Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: 2 years Med/Tele RN experience required License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS required ACLS preferred Must-Have: Certification in Med-Surg is a plus Description: The RN will be working in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting. Each unit has 20-36 beds for patient care. The ratio of RN to patients is 1:4-6. The RN will be required to pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding. Skills required include trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and glucometer checks. Common drips include insulin and heparin drips. Support staff will assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, bathing, bed changes, and patient safety. A unit secretary will be available from 7 AM to 11 PM, with call coverage from 11 PM to 7 AM. Each unit will have a charge nurse present. Phlebotomy will primarily be performed by nurses, except for lab collection. There is a dedicated PICC team for special IV needs. Resource nurses are available for discharges and support. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. The unit utilizes an Electronic Medical Record system for documentation. There are various monitoring and medication dispensing systems in place. Travelers may float between all Med/Tele units as needed.
