Description The Associate Executive Director of Recovery Services
serves as a senior operational leader and the second-in-command
within the organization, reporting directly to the Executive
Director. This role has enterprise responsibility for organ,
tissue, and bone recovery services across the entire state of
Georgia and provides leadership to a large, multidisciplinary
clinical and operational team. The position requires deep medical
and transplant experience, strong executive presence, and the
ability to lead through change in a highly regulated,
mission-driven environment. The Associate Executive Director also
serves as a key surrogate for the Executive Director, including
shared administrative on-call responsibilities. Responsibilities: •
Lead and oversee statewide recovery services operations, including
transplant coordinators, organ placement, surgical coordination,
and referral management • Provide executive leadership to
approximately 89 team members through a management structure of
five (5) direct reports • Ensure compliance with federal, state,
and national regulatory requirements, including UNOS, AOPO, HHS,
OSHA, and NATCO • Oversee hospital development relationships, donor
family communication processes, and collaboration with hospitals,
physicians, and community partners • Drive performance through
data, metrics, and continuous improvement, participating in monthly
senior leadership reviews • Partner with the Executive Director and
peer Associate Executive Directors on strategic planning,
budgeting, and organizational initiatives • Participate in
Administrator-on-Call rotation, escalation management, and
executive decision-making • Represent the organization at
professional conferences, national forums, and regulatory or
advocacy events as authorized Qualifications and Requirements: •
Bachelor’s degree in a medical or clinical discipline required;
advanced degree preferred • Required background in transplantation,
organ procurement, or recovery services • Senior leadership
experience in a medical or transplant-focused environment •
Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex teams in high-stakes,
regulated settings • Strong written and verbal communication skills
with an open, accessible leadership style • Data-driven
decision-maker with experience using metrics to manage performance
• Availability for 24/7 executive on-call rotation and frequent

salary growth.
