Job Description Pediatric Hospitalist / Newborn Nursery – Bridgeport, CT Position Details Full-time pediatric hospitalist role with newborn nursery and pediatric inpatient coverage Schedule: six weekday shifts two weekend shifts per four-week cycle (13 cycles/year) All shifts are 24 hours Weekday shifts: on-site 5:00 PM–10:00 AM; phone availability 10:00 AM–5:00 PM Weekend shifts: on-site for the full 24 hours Responsibilities include: - Newborn rounds - Attendance at scheduled and emergent C-sections - Phototherapy management - Occasional pediatric consults (ED/floor) - Newborn stabilization for transport No circumcisions >1,000 annual deliveries Teaching opportunity with medical students 24/7 neonatology support Benefits Details Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits with generous 401(k) match Loan repayment support Paid time off CME reimbursement and licensure/professional membership support Qualifications BC/BE in Pediatrics Eligible for Connecticut medical license Strong commitment to patient-centered pediatric care Collaborative, team-based approach Community Details – Bridgeport, CT Minutes from New York City; two hours from Boston Access to top-rated school systems Housing options include shoreline, suburban, and urban communities Vibrant New England lifestyle with outstanding cultural, educational, and recreational
