Job Description:

As the Settlement Coordinator for a personal injury law firm, you are key to moving clients' cases from negotiations to final settlements with the Attorney. Everything you do helps our clients get their settlement checks faster!--You will be responsible for performing all processing related to case management within the settlement phase of a personal injury case, such as verification of all amounts or fees related to the case, coordinating reductions from medical providers, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all agencies, and for preparing the settlement disbursements to the client.

A settlement coordinator must possess/demonstrate the highest level of self-initiative. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented! Also, a great attitude is a must!

Responsibilities:
--- Handle office correspondence like answering emails and phone calls, attending team meetings, and assisting the team
--- Create a Settlement Memo in our case management software to review numbers for settlement conferences for clients
--- Confirm balances on the most recent bills in file for all medical providers
--- Confirm all file costs
--- Coordinating reductions with medical providers
--- Review the Final Settlement Breakdown and confirm all providers
--- Request Settlement checks
--- Schedule/Arrange and attend Settlement Appointments with clients
--- Assist in Closing File Duties
--- Additional duties

Qualifications:
--- A minimum of a high school diploma or a GED. Preferred: a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Business or Accounting
--- A minimum of three (2) years experience in an administrative or customer service role; preferably working in a personal injury law firm, insurance billing, accounts payable and receivable, or as an insurance adjuster.
--- Love spreadsheets/accounting background
--- Notary preferred
