Flatbed Carrier Sales Representative- with a carrier following (for the Gainesville, GA office)

At Volume Logistics, you receive much more than a standard logistics company. Volume has Dry, Temp Control, Flatbed, and Intermodal capacity for Full Truck Load and LTL in the following industries throughout the continental United States, Canada and Mexico.

This Gainesville, GA based carrier sales position is responsible for developing long term relationships with flatbed carriers that will continue to keep Volume Logistics moving forward in the Flatbed arena.

Essential Duties:

As part of our brokerage carrier sales team, you will work closely with our extensive network of carriers, as well as develop new relationships focusing on improving efficiency and managing transportation costs. You will be responsible for taking a proactive approach in mastering the pricing and capacity fluctuations in the Flatbed market.

• Source and procure carrier services to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of customer freight
  
• Establish deep and mutually rewarding relationships with carriers to expand capacity opportunities
  
• Negotiate rates with carriers on a spot or transactional basis
  
• Work effectively with your sales and operations colleagues at Volume Logistics in order to provide a seamless efficient experience for our customers.
