Job Summary:

* Knowledge of Endoscopy procedures including EGD, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Anoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound, Endobronchial Navigation, Small bowel Enteroscopy/Balloon assisted IO, Capsule Endoscopy, Ph Monitoring, Esophageal Manometry, ERCP, and all diagnostic/therapeutic maneuvers associated with the above procedures. * Maintain competence of all steps required in the high-level disinfection process for the department. * Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for patient populations served in his/her department. * Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. * Demonstrate knowledge to assess, plan, evaluate, and document care in coordination with the health care team across the continuum * Deliver compassionate, holistic care, while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients

The 128-bed Parkridge East Hospital in East Ridge provides a full range of medical and surgical services, such as orthopedics and robotic surgery. Our 24/7 Emergency Department is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The Birth Place at Parkridge East offers a comfortable, private setting in which families welcome new additions. Our 22-bassinet level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers comprehensive care for babies born at less than 28 weeks gestation or with critical illnesses.

Qualifications

* Education: Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technician Program. * Licensure/Certification: Certified Surgical Technician (grandfather clause may apply); * BLS required * Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor preferred. * Experience: One-year OR required; GI/Bronchoscopy experience preferred.
