Job Details:NEW HIRE BONUS UP TO $3,000.00SUMMARYRepairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. Assist in building/fabricating equipment and structures by performing the following dutiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESObserves mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.Repairs or replaces defective parts.installs special functional and structural parts in devices.Lubricates and cleans parts.Starts devices to test their performance.sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, welder and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.Fabricates equipment and/or equipment parts.Repairs electrical equipment.Must have be able to read blue prints.Must be able to weld using different types of welding devices.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNoneQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one year to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to trouble shoot and repair all process and supportive equipment, buildings, and grounds. Be able to work long hours, climb stairs and ladders, and tow a water hoseWORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those the Employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is routinely exposed to moving mechanical parts; routinely exposed to high, precarious places while equipped with proper safety and protective gear; routinely exposed to fumes or airborne particles while equipped with proper personal protective equipment (PPE); occasionally exposed to a risk of electrical shock while equipped with proper PPE; routinely exposed to moderate to strong vibration; routinely exposed to excessive noise levels requiring hearing protection; and routinely exposed to inclement weather conditions including but not limited to high humidity, rain, wind, extreme cold and extreme heat.SAFETYMust be able to do the following: keep work area clean and free of clutter (housekeeping), use appropriate and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, use the correct tool for each job assignment, report any injury of oneself or coworker to Management, report and document job hazards immediately (correct immediately when possible), inspect all tools and materials for defects and safety issues, and follow all safety rules and guidelines. ALWAYS read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before using a chemical and ask your Supervisor or Manager questions if you do not understand it. Make sure you and your fellow workers understand and follow the instructions included in the SDS. Lockout/tag out is mandatory when working on equipment.
