Job Description:

Position SummaryAssist ERC management and Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist in providing regulatory compliance support, and on-site exhaust emissions support, for off-road engines and equipment platforms in North America. Research and implement new/existing regulatory requirements and support for assigned business areas and Yanmar products.Job Functions:Research existing and potential local, state, and federal regulations applicable to and effecting Yanmar products as directed by ERC management.Assess and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations applicable to Yanmar products.Prepare and review relevant and applicable government agency filings and submissions applicable to certification, licensing, and approvals.Research and coordinate with business and product development on standards (ANSI, ASAE, ISO, OSHA, ROHVA, EPA, CARB, TSCA, REACH, RoHS, etc.) applicable to Yanmar products.Assist in evaluating compliance of Yanmar s non-road, marine, and stationary engines and equipment with all applicable exhaust emission and chemical regulations.Gather information and provide guidance to Yanmar on current and emerging world-wide engine emissions and chemical legislation, certification, and compliance.Support new and subsequent annual US engine certification approvals.Coordinate with Yanmar engineering departments and regulatory authorities to certify new engine technologies.Maintain electronic records of all US non-road certification applications, certificates and executive orders.Maintain database of submitted technical descriptions, DF reports and AECD s with records of the engine platforms and families to which they apply.Support Yanmar s sustainability initiatives.Conduct training for Yanmar employeesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong organization ability and excellent attention to detail.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.Experience with internal combustion engines preferred.Experience with databases, SQL, and XML preferred.Ability to work 8+ hours per day in a plant/office setting.Job QualificationsB.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.0-4 years of experience in relevant engineering, emissions, or regulatory analysis.Must be able to navigate all areas of the building and facility as needed.May occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds in an office, customer or similar setting.Must be aware of surroundings.Ability to travel, domestic and international.Successful candidates may expect an excellent total compensation package including competitive salary, health care insurance (including dental and vision), 401(k) retirement plan with match, and many other excellent employee benefits.
