Work with Operations team to collaboratively design and implement low-cost, right sized manufacturing solutions that align with key lean principles. Plan and improve production methods and estimate production times to meet production goals. Develop innovative solutions that augment, support and improve assembly and manufacturing operations. Act as manufacturing subject matter expert to drive process and product design improvements. Provide results driven technical support in all manufacturing functions. As a member of the EnerSys team, you will conduct business according to the details of your job description and the employee manual, with a commitment to continuous improvement and respect for people. #suwEssential Duties and Responsibilities Through tight collaboration create and execute project work plans and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs. Manage all phases of the project life cycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects. Define and document project tasks and resource requirements. Select and coordinate work of subcontractors work on various phases of the project. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope as well as changes to the project plan and status reports. Tracks and controls schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and budget. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Prepare for, administer and document project meetings. Serve as primary point of contact for external and internal project teams Administer construction contracts and obtains all necessary permits and licenses. Minimizes EnerSys' exposure and risk on projects. Work closely within the Operations team to integrate schedules in order to deliver and support products in the market in a timely fashion. Champion continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Coordinate and communicate with other department representatives to ensure manufacturing activities are aligned to achieve productivity targets, the customer schedule, meet inventory requirements, ensure on-time delivery, and meet or exceed customer requirements and business goals. Monitors site and project safety and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies. Develop solutions to address safety related issues and work with the site operations members to set a constructive safety culture Ensure proper execution through the use of the EnerSys Operating System Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and metrics. Champion continuous improvement efforts and provide input on processes, procedures, materials, product structure and services to support innovation and continuous improvement. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.2. Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience involving automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.3. 7 years of project or program management, PMI or equivalent certification / relevant experience preferred4. Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives including design for manufacturing.5. Deep understanding of Lean manufacturing, ISO quality procedures, and mechanical and electrical assembly preferred.6. Demonstrated proficiency with operating internal and external software systems at an advanced level not limited to: Word, creating Excel spreadsheets, graphs and charts, SharePoint, Visio, preparing presentations and using statistical software to analyze and interpret process data.7. Knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).8. Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
