Job Description:

The New Business Specialist 1 prepares paperwork, scans, processes incoming new business trades, performs quality control tasks, and assists with department projects as needed.The estimated salary range for this role: $15-$17/hourThe New Business Specialist 1 reviews, preps for processing, scans, and processes incoming new business trades. These may include outside funds, 529 Plans, STAR forms, Lifetime Managed Accounts, or variable annuities. Any trades that do not meet the required criteria will be routed to Quality of Business (QOB) for further review and correction. Trades that are processed will be mailed to the appropriate fund companies. Trades that cannot be processed will be returned to the writing Representative. Outgoing mail is tracked to ensure proper delivery. The role will also perform quality control check on processed work as well as daily reconciliation to ensure all trades have been processed correctly within department standards. Any other duties assigned by management.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:High School Diploma or GEDFamiliarity with database, mainframe, and BNY Mellon systems is a plusStrong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlinesKnowledge of overall system softwareAbility and willingness to learn new skills related to the successful achievement of departmental goalsAbility to self-motivate and work in a team environmentAbility to work overtime as neededExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent understanding of operational functionsMinimum typing skills of 30 wpmIntermediate knowledge of computer skills and ExcelKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet mailProof reading skillsAbility to identify problems and formulate solutions to problemsPDN-9917284b-4e11-4c1f-acfb-47069a99c387
