Job Description

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, NCEES record preferred. Minimum of 15 years (20 preferred) of relevant engineering experience within the electrical engineering, industrial, mission critical and design industries. Proven relationships and experience in the private market sector. Extensive knowledge of and familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC).

Location: This position 100% REMOTE

RESPONSABILITIES

• Respond to client requests for proposals
• Coordinate with Project Accountants to enroll project per contract requirements
• Ensure clear understanding of client's expectations and customer's budget
• Prepare and deliver design plans and specifications for permit and construction, on-time and on-budget
• Coordinate with other MEP engineers as well as Architect, Structural, Civil and vendors
• Adhere to departmental QA/QC procedures and suggest improvements when appropriate
• Resolve inquiries from authority having jurisdiction and / or contractor
• Equitably manage out-of-scope work, soliciting additional service agreements when appropriate
• Deliver invoice(s) to client and track outstanding accounts receivable
• Effectively delegate design tasks to team members with clear understanding of budget and schedule
• Communicate to Supervisor(s) when additional staff will be needed or will come available
• Provide effective mentorship and leadership
  CLIENT SERVICE
  
  • Determine and manage client expectations at project and program level
  • Ensure services are responsive, appropriate, and cost effective for client's needs
  • Work with other Practice Areas to promote and cross-sell services
    
    Skills
    
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Proficiency in Adobe or Bluebeam for digital redlines; Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Working knowledge of Revit; Familiarity with lighting design software (i.e.: Visual, AGI32); Outstanding communication skills; High level of interpersonal skills and integrity; Works well within a diverse, collaborative team environment but also comfortable working independently in a fast-paced setting when required.
