People are our most valuable resource - all of our 1,700 employees make a critical impact every day. -The -Data Analyst -will be responsible for proactively identifying, testing, developing and ultimately deploy -machine learning (ML) -and other statistical models based on large data sets across the business, with the goal of identifying and exploiting actionable business insights throughout the entire -Procure to Pay (PTP) -through -Order to Cash (OTC) -process. The Analyst will use curated data sets to help business partners drive efficiency, quality, and savings through the creation of predictive models that help achieve rapid results with minimal manual intervention. Additional responsibilities will include the development of robust, SKU-level predictive demand models, classification models for predicting customer types, other models to improve operating metrics, reduce waste and obsolescence, among others. This role requires an analytically minded person with strong technical skills, in addition to being a highly motivated self-starter who is capable of bringing a steady stream of solutions on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:
Develop robust predictive/machine learning models for such things as item-level demand forecasts, customer order recommendation systems, supply chain optimization, improvement of service metrics and reduction of operating costsAssist with the continued development of the analytical function though the enhancement of data collection procedures, to include information that is relevant for building analytical systemsEnhance financial forecasting with the use of big data and statistical methodsExtending company's data with third party sources of information as neededDoing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear, concise manner

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, etc.), equivalent work experience, or a combination thereofAny practical hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning (ML) models as part of a project, internship, and/or work experiencePractical understanding of the various types of models available, as well as their strengths and weaknesses as it applies to a given scenarioDemonstrated data visualization skills with tools like Matplotlib, Tableau, etc.Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to audiences of varying levels of technical knowledge and seniorityDemonstrable knowledge of Python and Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and a self-driven desire to develop and drive value in the organization -PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSOne (1) year of experience as an analyst in a data and analytics domain with excellent SQL and Python skills for complex querying, advanced analysis, performance optimization, and working with data at scaleBusiness Intelligence tools, such as SAP Business Objects & Predictive Analytics EngineBasic understanding of Accounting & Finance concepts like accrual accountingMaster's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
