• The opportunity to manage a strong, collaborative team with an above average engagement scoreWhat We Are Looking ForThe Area Production Manager develops production KPMs, identifies action plans, and coordinates teams to achieve desired results at the local level. They also plan production schedules and remove obstacles to meet short term production targets. The Area Production Manager is an active leader and champion of Panduit's key programs: Cultural beliefs, Process Improvement, TWI, safety, and Best Practice Sharing. They lead teams to achieve desired KPM results, achieve strong employee engagement, and develop talent for current department needs.What You Will Do
  • Analyze and implement working-methods for maximized productivity and efficiency
  • Oversee activities related to the complete manufacturing process
  • Be responsible for team performance and leadership
  • Achieve established Production goals and Key Performance Metrics; and utilize these for leading continual improvement projects
  • Production scheduling (communicate with Customer Service, prioritize customer demand and deliveries)
  • Develop and drive the implementation of Lean solutions for efficient use of equipment and processes in production, emphasis on waste reduction, preventative maintenance for production equipment and machinery
  • Promote Panduit's key programs: Cultural Beliefs(PIL), Process Improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), TWI, Safety, and Best Practice Sharing
  • Resource planning-capacity calculation (manning calculation and support line balancing process)
  • Develop and update departmental production routings
  • Coordinate and implement Production Training Programs (Job training/ Environmental/Safety/Security) to ensure team can meet current departmental needs
  • Develop department budget and maintain approved expense level with monthly reviewsWhat You Will Bring
    • Required Degree: High School Degree
    • Preferred Degree: Associates or Bachelor's degree
    • Certificate(s): Driving license-preferred
    • Experience: 3+ years of relevant supervisory experience, within a Manufacturing environment, managing teams
    • Experience with MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Preferred Experience with:
      • Oracle
      • Group presentations
      • Six Sigma/Lean practices
