Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.

• Competitive pay:
• Average $1,384 per week/$72,000 per year
• Starting pay .64 cpm
• Average 1,500-1,600 miles per week
• Stop pay of $18 per stop
• Average 25 stops per week
• Average stop is 30 min.
• Additional $12 per stop if tarping is required, inclement weather only, total of $30 per stop
• Home every night
• Shifts are consistent; start at 5 a.m. Monday-Friday, finish between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
• Begin your route in Auburn, GA and deliver to customers in AL, GA, SC and TN
• 5 dispatches per week
• Hook to pre-loaded trailers to start the day
• Deliver building material dry wall, lumber, etc. to retail and non-retail locations. (some palletized)
• Strap each load, straps provided
• Tarp in inclement weather only
• If tarping is required, an additional $12 per stop
• Provided hard hats and vests must be worn when out of the truck on the property
• Steel toe shoes required, driver will need to purchase

    • Must live within a 60-mile radius
    • Must have 4+ months' verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years OR 6 months in the past 5 years
    • Drivers must have a Class A CDL
    • Must be 21 years of age
    • No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
    • No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 5 years
    • No suspensions or revocations for a moving violation within the past 5 years
    • No serious violations within previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with a fatality)
    • No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
    • No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years Essential functions:
      • Load freight -lift requirement: 80 lbs
      • Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
      • Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
      • Lift and move side kits -lift requirements: 46 lbs
      • Lift tarp - lift requirement: 110 lbs
      • Apply and remove tarp(s) on load
      • Secure load with chains and hardware -lift requirements: 80 lbs
      • Climb onto and off flatbed trailer/load
      • Count freight
      • Complete fuel tickets
      • Complete delivery receipt
      • Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs
      • Perform pre-trip inspections
      • Drive
      • Extensive travel - ability to sit upright for extended periods of time.
