Senior Manager Salary: $2,100.00 Stipend (up to 16 hours per week)

through planting, conserving, and educating. Founded in 1985, Trees
Atlanta works tirelessly to address Atlanta?s tree loss, protect
its forests, and create new greenspace. Empowered by its wonderful
community of volunteers, Trees Atlanta serves the metro Atlanta
area, and has grown to become one of Atlanta?s most widely known
and supported non-profit organizations. The Atlanta Beltline is a
sustainable redevelopment project that connects a network of public
parks, multi-use trails, and light-rail transit along a main paved
trail artery that reuses a historic 22-mile railroad corridor. The
system circles downtown Atlanta and connects 45 neighborhoods
directly to each other, which successfully incentivizes pedestrian
movement over vehicular as Atlantans live, work, and play. With
nearly 2 million trail users a year, the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum
is an unprecedented opportunity to educate the public about
ecological restoration, utilizing native plants, and how urban
ecology can reconnect fragmented communities. The Arboretum serves
as a component of Atlanta?s urban forest, acts as an ecological
corridor and learning landscape providing a place for education,
community science and scientific research. Job Description Trees
Atlanta is looking for a Weeds & Wine Intern to assist with the
Beltline Arboretum 2026 Weeds & Wine program series providing weed
/ invasive control, and monitoring over 10 acres of native grasses
and forbs along the Atlanta Beltline?s Eastside, Southeast,
Southwest and Westside Trails, in the specific area of native
grassland monitoring and maintenance in the following tasks:
Planning and coordination of weed pull projects Weed and invasive
plant assessment Supervision of volunteers during maintenance
projects Communicating with potential partners for maintenance
projects Taking photographs of events to promote and thank partners
Other duties as assigned The Trees Atlanta Weeds & Wine Intern
position is an opportunity for students or recent college graduates
to gain experience working with volunteers in an environmental
non-profit organization on a major landscape/infrastructure
project. Requirements Preferred majors: ecology, horticulture,
biology, botany, environmental science, or related fields Interest
in working with volunteers Reliable transportation and the ability
to transport tools to the work site Basic knowledge of local and
invasive plants is helpful Have excellent interpersonal skills Be
self-motivated and enthusiastic Physical Requirements Ability to
lift heavy items and work in all types of outdoor weather
conditions, including heat, sun, rain, and pollen This is a
