Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CT Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Cat Scan Tech - Cat Scan Tech /n/n Job Details: /n • Work night shifts Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM /n• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs /n• Perform wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative /n• Set up equipment to provide imaging services and position patients for procedures /n• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history /n• Administer contrast media following established procedures /n• Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results /n• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment /n• Demonstrate competence in age-appropriate patient care procedures /n• Use critical thinking skills and seek clarification on ambiguous orders /n• Maintain competency with venipuncture and sterile technique /n• Adjust technique to minimize radiation dose while maintaining image quality /n• Clean, disinfect and maintain equipment according to infection control policies /n• Transport and position patients, assist with on/off procedure table /n• Take call when necessary /n• Required certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS /n• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required /n• Less than 1 year CT experience preferred /n• Must complete accredited program in Radiologic Technology /n• Excellent communication and customer service skills required /n• Ability to work independently and under pressure in team environment /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive imaging department providing diagnostic services with state-of-the-art CT equipment and technology.
