Job Description:
Cox Automotive is seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead our
efforts in maintaining and enhancing the integrity, security, and
availability of data across the entire spectrum of our automotive
operations. This role involves overseeing the development,
implementation, and enforcement of data policies, standards, and
practices, ensuring that Cox Automotive remains a leader in
utilizing data-driven strategies to support car manufacturers,
dealers, and buyers effectively and efficiently. The ideal
candidate will possess a strong background in data management
frameworks and a proven track record in data governance within the
automotive or a similar industry. Develop and implement
comprehensive data management policies and standards to ensure
alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with IT and business unit leaders to enhance data
quality and data access, ensuring data is an asset for business
operations. Lead the design and execution of data audits, data
mapping, and data classification projects. Manage a team of data
stewards and specialists, providing guidance and training when
necessary. Monitor data management trends and technologies to
ensure the company remains at the forefront of industry
developments in data governance. Report regularly to senior
management on the status of data governance initiatives,
challenges, and opportunities. Proven expertise in data governance,
data quality, data security practices, and risk management. Strong
leadership and project management skills. Experience with data
management tools (e.g., SQL, SAP, Tableau). Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and
establish credibility across the organization. Certified Data
Management Professional (CDMP) Certified Information Privacy
Manager (CIPM)
